New page

== About MJ Klein ==

'''MJ Klein''' is the founder and administrator of NAMFORUM.

He is a recording and mixing engineer with decades of experience in professional audio, recording technology, musical instruments, and electronic music equipment. His work includes recording, mixing, mastering, system integration, equipment testing, and the practical application of both hardware and software audio technology.

Klein also spent approximately four decades working in manufacturing and engineering. That background strongly influences his approach to audio technology: understanding how a system works, establishing repeatable processes, testing results, documenting what was actually done, and distinguishing measurable behavior from assumptions or marketing claims.

He has worked directly with manufacturers and software developers in testing equipment, evaluating software and firmware, documenting problems, and providing technical feedback. His current work includes hands-on experimentation with neural amp modeling and capture technologies, including the creation, testing, and comparison of models and capture workflows.

Klein is also the administrator of '''Behringer World''', an independent technical community and knowledge base devoted to Behringer digital audio equipment. His role there has included maintaining the forum and Wiki infrastructure and preserving community-developed technical knowledge, including overseeing the migration of the original DokuWiki knowledge base to MediaWiki.

NAMFORUM grew from the same basic philosophy: useful technical knowledge should not disappear into social-media feeds, closed groups, or thousands of disconnected forum posts. Discussion belongs in the forum; information that proves useful over time can be organized and preserved in the Wiki.

NAMFORUM is independent and is not operated by, sponsored by, or officially affiliated with Neural Amp Modeler or any manufacturer of capture, profiling, or modeling technology.
