The NAMFORUM Wiki is a community knowledge base for Neural Amp Modeling technology and other capture technology.
Current contributors
The initial NAMFORUM Wiki was created and is maintained by MJ Klein, founder and administrator of NAMFORUM.
Much of the initial Wiki content was developed with substantial research and drafting assistance from OpenAI's ChatGPT. Technical information is reviewed and, where practical, checked against primary sources including official documentation, developer publications, software repositories, manuals, and release notes before publication.
AI-generated material is not considered authoritative merely because it was generated by AI. Responsibility for what is published in the Wiki remains with the Wiki's human editors and administrators.
Editorial approach
The purpose of the Wiki is to document useful and reasonably established information about capture technology.
Sources are generally preferred in the following order:
- Official documentation and manuals
- Original developer or manufacturer information
- Source-code repositories
- Original research and technical publications
- Reproducible measurements and testing
- Well-documented community experience
Forum discussion, personal experience, and experimentation can identify information worth documenting, but claims should be distinguished from established technical facts.
Community contributions
Public editing is not currently enabled.
NAMFORUM members are nevertheless encouraged to contribute knowledge through discussion on the forum.

Information developed through community discussion may be incorporated into the Wiki by its editors.

The MediaWiki revision history also provides a permanent record of edits made to each page.
